Governor Mohammed Swears in New Officials, Charges Them to Uphold Integrity

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has sworn in 12 newly appointed government officials, urging them to uphold integrity, accountability, and teamwork in their respective roles.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Government House on July 10, 2025, saw the appointment of key officials, including Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad as Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Jummai Salamatu Abubakar as Permanent Commissioner of the State Independent Electoral Commission, and Yankari Ishyaku as Auditor-General of the State.

Governor Mohammed emphasized the importance of synergy among government officials, calling on the new appointees to work closely with commissioners and senior public servants to improve governance, create job opportunities, and contribute to the progress of Bauchi State.

"We expect you to work together as a team, leveraging your expertise and experience to drive development and progress in our state," the Governor said.

Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad, speaking on behalf of the appointees, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the confidence reposed in them. He pledged that they would discharge their duties diligently and in the best interest of the state.

The newly appointed officials are expected to assume duties immediately, with the Governor expressing optimism that they would make meaningful contributions to the state's development.

Th newly appointees includes:  - Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad - Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Jummai Salamatu Abubakar - Permanent Commissioner, State Independent Electoral Commission, Alhaji Abdu - Permanent Commissioner, State House of Assembly Service Commission, Muhammad Atiku Isa - Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment, Yankari Ishyaku, and Auditor-General of the State. 

While Newly Appointed Permanent Secretaries were Muhammad Nasiru Usman, Abubakar Garba, Adamu Yakubu, Ahmad Yusuf, Adamu Dauda, Yakubu Mahmud, Adamu Aliyu, and Abdullahi Ahmad Ahmad. 

The swearing-in ceremony marks a new chapter in the governance of Bauchi State, with the Governor's charge to the new appointees setting the tone for their tenure in office.
